Dr.
William Boulton is the C.G. Mills Professor of Strategic
Management in the College of Business at Auburn University.
His research is focused on Global, Technology-based Competition.
He has been a Visiting Professor at Keio Business School
in Japan during the Fall Semesters of 1992 and 1993,
was a Fulbright research scholar in Japan in 1986 and
was a visiting scholar at Japan's prestigious Institute
for Fiscal and Financial Policy in 1993. In 1992, he
began research for U.S. Government agencies on electronic
manufacturing technologies and industrial policies of
Asian countries. His work includes Electronic Manufacturing
and Packaging in Japan (1995), and Semiconductor and
Electronic Manufacturing in the Pacific Rim (1997). The
U.S. Department of Commerce will publish his current
research, Industrial Development Strategies of Asia.
