Dr.
Daniel D. Butler is a Thomas Walter Professor of Technology
Management, Associate Professor of Marketing, and Director
of British Studies. Dr. Butler’s business
experience includes internal auditing
with the SunTrust Corporation, lobbyist for the State
of Florida,
Assistant Cruise Director for Norwegian Cruise Lines,
and working
privately as a marketing consultant. Dr. Butler
holds a bachelor’s
degree in finance and MBA from the University of Central
Florida. He was a Rotary Fellow at the Universidad
Nacional de Corboda, Argentina spending a year studying
international economics. He earned his PhD in marketing
and international business operations from the University
of South Carolina. Dr.
Butler has published numerous academic studies focusing
on marketing strategy. He enjoys consulting for
and presenting executive development programs to major
companies around the world on international marketing
strategy, customer service, and services marketing. Most
recently, Dr. Butler has been involved in joint ventures
between Auburn University and private industry. He
has helped patent and commercialize new technology (e.g.
bulletproof materials and fish lures mad of food). Dr.
Butler has been the recipient of many awards for teaching,
research, and business outreach.
