Dr. Stan Harris

| Dr.
Stan Harris is the Celita Everett Professor of Management
and Director of both the
Physicians Executive MBA Program and the Management Ph.D. program concentrations
in Organizational Analysis & Change and Human Resource Management. He received
his Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from The University of Michigan. Stan
teaches organizational behavior, leadership, and management and was the 2001
recipient of the College’s Colonial Company Teaching Effectiveness award.
Stan's areas of specialization include organizational change and transformation,
corporate culture, leadership, individual cognition and emotion, team building,
and group facilitation. Five of his research papers have won awards, including
two "best paper" awards from the National Academy of Management. One
research paper has been identified as “classic reading.” Stan is
a member of the Academy of Management and Southern Management Association and
serves on the editorial review board of Human Resource Management Journal. In
recognition of his diverse change management consulting, leadership development,
group facilitation, and organizational assessment activities with organizations
in the U.S. and abroad, Stan was awarded the College’s Excellence in Outreach
Award in 1999. |
