| Dr.
John S. Jahera, Jr. is the Colonial Bank Distinguished
Professor of Finance. He has been a member of the faculty
at Auburn University since 1980 and has spent more than
16 years in administrative roles including four years
as interim dean. A native of Augusta, Georgia, Dr. Jahera
received his BS, MBA and Ph.D. in finance from the University
of Georgia. In addition to administrative responsibilities,
he has taught at boththe undergraduate and graduate levels.
He currently teaches in both the EMBA as well as Physicians
EMBA program. He has also conducted a number of executive
education programs for corporations in the southeast.
Dr. Jahera is the author of more than sixty research
articles in a variety of journals including the Journal
of Financial Research the Journal of Law, Economics & Organization
Research in Finance, the Journal of Real Estate Finance & Economics,
and the Journal of Banking & Finance. The primary
focus of his research has been in the area of banking,
corporate governance and more specifically antitakeover
strategies. Over the years, Dr. Jahera has been recognized
for his instructional performance as well as his leadership. |
