| Amit
Mitra is Associate Dean in the College of Business and
Professor in the Department of Management at Auburn University. He
holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
and a post-graduate diploma in Industrial Engineering and
Operations Research from the Indian Institute of Technology,
an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of
Kentucky, and a Ph.D. in Management Science from Clemson
University. Dr.
Mitra has published numerous journal articles. He
is the author of the book titled, Fundamentals of Quality
Control and Improvement, Second Edition, Prentice Hall,
1998, which is used nationally and internationally. He
has conducted short courses for professionals in Total
Quality Management, Quality Assurance and Statistical Process
Control, Design of Experiments, and Six Sigma Black Belt
training and has also assisted with implementation of statistical
process control in industries. At Auburn since 1979,
Dr. Mitra is listed in several national and international
biographical listings, among which are: Men of Achievement,
Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America, and Who’s
Who in American Education. |
