FAQ

1.

What is the difference between the Outreach Program and the Executive MBA Program?

The Outreach Program is a video–based distance learning program available to students who live within the US and Canada or US military students with APO or FPO addresses. This option offers more flexibility than any other MBA Program option we offer. (It is the only program that is not lock–step.) The only time students come to campus is for the four–day team case analysis their last Fall semester.

The Executive MBA Program is for students with at least 8 years of progressively responsible experience. It is a lock–step program which includes five one–week residencies at Auburn and one international trip. This program uses DVD's as the method of instruction; they contain lectures, powerpoint slides, and other course materials. Since there are several residency weeks and an international trip, students have many opportunities to work with and get to know each other, as well as the faculty. The Executive MBA Program also offers a concentration in Technology Management for Engineers and Computer Scientists and a concentration in HealthCare Management for non-MD's working in any phase of the healthcare industry.
